How do you start a successful microbusiness in Ecuador?
To answer this question, I can neither fall back on my knowledge nor on my experience, as we are now in Ecuador and in times of Corona even local experts would only answer with a questioning look.
Fortunately, we have very well-founded companies / people at our side!
On the one hand, Oscar (the head of PDV) has been working on a strategy for many weeks to make a tool available to as many people as possible via the Internet. Surely a very difficult task via the Internet, where a lot is anonymous and intangible!
In the last few weeks we have had many online meetings with Mark Göser (HopeVentures) and Alan Weisenberg (enLumenLS) , who with their expertise help us to help as many people as possible with the start of their company in the long term with little risk.
The keyword of the hour, an adapted Lean Canvas Model (Business Model) should help to give the new founders an understanding of entrepreneurship and customer-oriented thinking.
Samaritan's Purse is ready to support PDV in training small businesses that aim to raise ecologically valuable vegetables and animals.
Since here in Ecuador the indigenous people in the country are certainly among the most well-founded experts, we started looking for people who are willing to share their knowledge with others and grow together in faith and in community.

A student club at Concordia University Irvine has agreed to teach microbusiness founders with a two-day online training course and then to accompany them with 1: 1 mentoring training for a whole year. If the business plan is convincing, the start-up capital is made available by the club and has to be paid back later.
